Description
The 24 Series 25-100 series is a limited express sleeper car that was introduced in 1976.
In 1987, the Asakaze 1 and 4 were upgraded and had three gold stripes on the exterior.
The Suhane 25-700 was equipped with a duet of two-person private rooms and a quartet of four-person private rooms. It was also fitted with an oriental-style dining car featuring table lamps.
The EF66 type was used between Tokyo and Shimonoseki, and the EF81-400 type was used between Shimonoseki and Hakata, both of which had headmarks attached.
The Asakaze 1 and 4 were discontinued in 1994.
