Description
The 115 series was a commuter train based on the 113 series for steeply sloping lines, and later models for cold climates were remodeled with larger seat pitch, and classified as the 1000 series.
The 115 series used on the Tohoku and Takasaki lines were painted in Shonan colors and operated in formations of up to 15 cars.
