Description
Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a World War I biplane Avro 504, a model produced in over 10.000 units till 1931, licensed in several countries like Japan, Soviet Union and other countries with over 20 different manufacturers around the world.
The Avro 504 served as trainer fighter or bomber and was produced in a large number of variants depending on the engine and manufacturer. The Avro 504K was a two-seat trainer aircraft featuring a universal mount to take different engines and the possibility to build as single seat fighter.
Japan produced the Yokosuka K2Y1 and later Yokosuka K2Y2, but as variants of the Avro 504N (produced from 1925 onwards) not the Avro 504K. The kit offers a decal sheet with three Japanese markings. Avro 504K was the mass produced variant by the end of the WWI, and large surplus of aircrafts were available by 1918 and sold and export to different operators around the world.
This kit is the lower code number in an initial series of four releases using same tool, tooled and released in 2024.
