“Chiyoda”, which was built as a seaplane tender like its sister Chitose and was remodeled into a midget submarine tender and aircraft carrier, is now available as a 1/700 scale plastic model kit in its remodeled form as a midget submarine tender capable of carrying 12 small midget submarines, the “Ko-hyoteki”. With a parts configuration that focuses on the essential points, it is simple, easy to assemble, and can be accurately reproduced. Various equipment such as anti-aircraft guns and machine guns have been newly designed and added. It effectively expresses the precision of the 1/700 scale.
